Hi origami folks! To everyone subscribed - sorry for not posting for a while. My bad ^_^
So, today I wanna talk about Works of Satoshi Kamiya. As we origami dragon people know, he is the creator of some of the most awesome origami dragons I ever seen. Ancient Dragon, Divine Dragon(aka Bahamut, which is actually inspired by the dragon of the same name from Final Fantasy), and the most awesome of the all - the Eastern Dragon.
Of course, Satoshi Kamiya isn't folding just origami dragons. Duh. There's a lot of his works out there. Animals, dragons, magical creatures, you name it. There is this model, a Wizard, which is a rare origami design, because it is asymmetrical.
He's good at it. Hes AWESOME at it. You seen the pics. The most impressive thing, is that he designed all these models himself. Now that's impressive.
So, there's this book. It's called Works of Satoshi Kamiya 1995-2003, and it contains some of his creations from the date specified. 19 of them to be exact.
And the best part, is that he actually included both Japanese instructions and English. With tutorials for origami beginners!
Wait, no. The absolute best part, is that this book has 2 of his dragons ^_^
The Ancient Dragon 274 steps and Bahamut 275 steps. Wow >_<
I have written my review on this wonderful book. You can read it here.
